Dog Whisperer? Meet the Canine Twitterer Beth Snyder February 17, 2011 Extras I’ve been telling various friends and acquaintances about the new gadget posts, so every time I open my inbox it’s an adventure. Tonight, I got this, and I’m honestly not sure how I feel about it. In a way, it appeals to my sense of the absurd. But it also makes me shake my head in amazement. I think I’m going to go with the appeal, however. I mean, if you’ve spent any amount of time with dogs, you’ll see the humor. How this thing works is this: there is a motion sensor and microphone in the tag you attach to your dog’s collar that interprets your dog’s activity. It connects wirelessly to a USB receiver within 100 feet of your computer. Once you’ve set up a Twitter account for your pooch, he’s off and Twittering automatically from a list of several hundred pre-loaded Tweets! You can set the frequency of tweets; don’t worry. It comes with software for Windows 7, Vista, XP, and Mac, as well as one CR2032 battery. You can pick one (or more) up at Hammacher Schlemmer for $29.95 US. Share This With The World!
