CES 2013: Pebble Watch – From Kickstarter to CES Dylan Duarte January 13, 2013 It might be time for me to finally get a smart watch and live out my fantasies of being James Bond and Dick Tracy. The new Pebble watch costs $150 and comes to us courtesy of a successful Kickstarter venture. It does everything a smart watch should do and more, all in a fancy, lightweight package. The Pebble can sync up to your phone, both iOS and Android, and display messages and information from incoming calls. That’s nothing new. What the Pebble can also do is display custom alerts and it offers a lot of flexibility as to what those alerts are. The Pebble uses LCD technology similar to e-ink so it’s easy to view, even in direct sunlight. The device weighs 38.2 grams, despite having a built-in accelerometer and ambient light sensor. The Pebble will be available after January 23rd. via Cnet Share This With The World!
