If you’ve got a garden, you’ve got birds and other animals wanting to eat it. If you’re any good at building a scarecrow, it should help with the problem. Many people think scarecrows are just a fall/Halloween decoration, but their real job is to protect the crops so they make it to harvest. So why not build one today? It could be a fun project with the kids, and it might just save your vegetables.

Just a heads up…judging by the state of my inbox, most sites are taking the US and Canadian holiday weekend off. Which means there may or may not be an affiliate news post tomorrow. I’ll be working, so I won’t have time to look for things that don’t come to me. So in advance, Happy Birthday, USA!
