ZTE Grand X Is Only $150 No-Term from Bell Michael Kwan July 18, 2014 Even though they’ve been selling other devices, like mobile hotspots, ZTE has never actually sold a smartphone in Canada. That is now changing as they plan on launching the budget-friendly ZTE Grand X as a Bell exclusive. The biggest kicker? It’s being priced at just $149.95 sans contract. This is great for people who don’t like contracts or would prefer prepaid, giving you an even more affordable option than the Moto G. You shouldn’t expect the world out of the ZTE Grand X, but the specs seem more than respectable given the bargain basement pricing. The 5-inch display is 720p and it comes backed with a 1.2GHz processor, 5MP rear camera, 1MP front camera, 2400mAh battery, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and HSPA+ connectivity. We think this version will support LTE, but we can’t be sure. It is great to see that you get beyond the qHD 960 x 540 display that plagues most entry-level smartphones today. They may not be pushing the same kind of volume as an Apple or a Samsung, but Huawei has been carving out its niche in the North American market. Now, fellow Chinese company ZTE can follow suit with some smartphones of its own. If you don’t have the cash to spend on a flagship like the Sony Xperia Z2, then maybe the $149.95 outright price of the ZTE Grand X will appeal more to you. Look for it to hit store shelves on July 29th. Via MobileSyrup Share This With The World!
