ZTE Blade S6 Boasts Octa-Core Processor at Bargain Price Michael Kwan January 28, 2015 During CES 2015 in Las Vegas earlier this month, I had the opportunity to speak with the head honcho at ZTE Canada and Lixin Cheng emphasized the company’s dedication to providing “affordable premium” devices to consumers. The latest smartphone to join their portfolio is the ZTE Blade S6, a svelte little number is indeed both affordable and premium. While it may not have the fancy-schmancy voice control features of the ZTE Star 2, the Blade S6 does come with very powerful hardware under its skinny little profile. You get a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chip, along with 2GB of RAM, 16GB storage, microSD slot, 2400mAh battery, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and Android 5.0 Lollipop running on the laminated 5-inch HD display. It has all the makings of a decidedly great device but with an off-contract price of just $250. The good news is that the ZTE Blade S6, following its launch in China through AliExpress on February 10, will be subsequently made available in other markets like the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Hong Kong by the end of February. The bad news is that I don’t notice Canada or US as being a part of that list. I guess we’ll just have to enjoy the similarly-priced Grand X Plus for now. Via MobileBurn Share This With The World!
