Watermelon Day

I just realized how very many holidays involve food. I’m going to go out on a limb and assume that’s because most of the websites I’ve found are US-based, and we do love our food here. Anyway, today is all about watermelon. And since we are pretty much dead in the middle of summer (unless you’re in the Southern hemisphere, of course), it’s the perfect time for it. While I’m at work, grocery shopping is going on, so I should come home to find one of those personal-size seedless watermelons waiting for me. I can’t wait.
