The SoloCam Is a Studio in the Palm of Your Hand Dylan Duarte June 25, 2015 News I’m fairly indifferent to the selfie stick, because I don’t really take selfies. I understand the conveinence it provides for those who do, but it’s lost on me. Now there’s the SoloCam, and I can’t deny how clever it is. It takes the selfie stick idea and adds an HD microphone, Bluetooth connectivity, and a mobile app to create a handheld studio. It’s a simple idea that takes a semi-practical novelty item and turns it into something legitimately useful. It has a built-in spherical wind and pop filter, which is crucial for quality audio recording, a double handle for a more stable grip (no shaky cam, please), and a handful of app features including basic green screen functionality. Be sure to check out the SoloCam Indiegogo page to read about everything it has to offer and to donate if you feel so inclined. There’s also a video embedded below that explains the product, partially in song. It’s a fun and helpful video, I just wish more of it were actually shot with the SoloCam. Everyone and their mother has a vlog nowadays and the quality between the content is all over the place. SoloCam seems to offer an easy and fairly affordable way to up your game.
