The News: Tuesday, November 6 Edition Beth Snyder November 6, 2012 Here in the US, it is finally election day. I’ve been wishing for some kind of force field to surround my house the last week, since I voted before I went in for surgery (it seemed like a good idea…not only am I pretty much stuck on my couch, but I wouldn’t feel right voting while on serious pain meds). The thing is, and this applies to all countries where elections are held, you need to vote. It is not only your right, it is your responsibility. It doesn’t matter what your philosophy, political leaning, religion, or anything else…vote. Because if you don’t at least make an effort toward influencing who will take office, it is no one’s fault but your own if you are unhappy with the results. You might as well complain about not winning the lottery if you never bought a ticket.
