Luckily, I don’t have to go anywhere again until Monday, although that’s the day the river is supposed to finally crest so it could be interesting, especially given I’ll be working in our convention center which sits directly on the riverbank. They (whoever “they” are) are confident that it won’t breach the flood walls, though, so I guess that’s a good thing. I’ll be curious to see what the underground parking garage looks like, though…when the river is not five feet over flood stage the water sits higher than that level of the building. People keep asking why they’re making us work, and the short answer is: People are still doing a show. It’s just that simple.
