The News: Mardi Gras Edition

People here in the north argue with me. They insist that Mardi Gras is only on Tuesday. Of course technically that’s true, because Tuesday is the actual last day. But that’s just it…the last day. The party has been going on for at least a week in the places where they actually get it. Which is decidedly not people here! Some places are planning their Mardi Gras parties for this coming weekend, which is beyond wrong. Anyway, I have to celebrate tonight, because while I have tomorrow off, on Wednesday I start a condensed week of intense, physically demanding work. I know better than to go out the night before that at my age.
