There are some major changes to the idea of graphic processor units and how the system treats them by default. The first is new Nvidia GPU Boost technology to ensure you are getting the maximum performance with your system. This means cards will not have a default clock (minimum speed the GPU will run) and boost clock speed (speed it will reach by automated system). Vsync is turned on and off based on FPS being below or above 60 respectively. Provided tear protection is only as needed. The ZOTAC GeForce GTX 680 will also have Nvidia’s new anti-aliasing algorithm called TXAA. Nvidia claims this will provided the equavalent of 16x AA at a 4x AA penalty. Or you can take the full penalty and simply go well beyond anything standard FXAA can provide right now. The ZOTAC GeForce GTX 680 will also be more power efficient using only two 6-pin connectors for power, and quieter at 46 dBA instead of 51 dBA than the previous generation GTX 580. Now the big question is why would be pick ZOTAC over other brands since this still in the stock cooler design phase. Well ZOTAC GeForce GTX 680 comes with free games in Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed 2: Deluxe Edition, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, and TrackMania 2 Canyon 3-Day Game Pass. A free game is good, a free game series is better. I know Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood is missing, but that was a side story anyway. If you happen to already have these games, you give the codes to friends or sell them to make the card’s overall price a little cheaper. Either way it is win-win.
