Take Fandom to the Grave With a Star Wars Urn Beth Snyder December 29, 2015 Extras “Only at the end do you realize the power of the Dark Side.” Nobody likes to think about their own death; it’s a fact of life that we pretty much carry on as if it will never end. But as we all know, it does end, and when it does you have decisions to make. Burial or cremation? We’ve looked at a few different options such as the Bios Urn, or Celestis Pets, which will send your pet’s ashes to the moon. Never thought you’d see a Star Wars Urn, did you? I didn’t, either. But here one is! Two of them, in fact, since this particular urn is available in either Darth Vader or a Death Star model. Which means it’s only for those fans who prefer to spend eternity on the Dark Side, regardless of how well they’ve earned their rest when night must fall. These Star Wars Urns come in three different standard sizes (4 inches, 6 inches, and 8 inches, or about 10, 15, or 20 cm), although “other sizes can be negotiated if you wish.” Their standard finish is matte black, although there is a note that colours can be customized as well. There are a few different marbelized bases to choose from, and you can have a message inscribed on the attached plaque. These are not really that cheap for a novelty item, but having purchased more urns than I care to think about in the course of my life I can tell you they’re not all that unreasonably priced for what they are. Each one runs £150 (about $223.00 US). Unfortunately, with the release of The Force Awakens triggering a run on all things Star Wars, they are currently out of stock. But then hopefully you’re not in a hurry to get one, right? Source: Nerd Approved Share This With The World!
