iPhone 7c Borrows Heavily from iPhone 5s, Coming Next April Michael Kwan December 29, 2015 News Not everyone wants to follow the current trend of increasingly large phablets, but if you want to have the newest iPhone, you have no choice but to get at least the 4.7-inch iPhone 6s. That’s a big part of the reason why we were anticipating a 4-inch iPhone 6c this year, but it never came to pass. It’s assumed that the smaller iPhone is being bumped to next year and now we’re learning a little more about the newfangled iPhone 7c… after all, it wouldn’t make much sense to use the “6” number anymore, right? For starters, no much has changed between the iPhone 6c rumors and the new iPhone 7c rumors. We’re still hearing that it’ll get a metal unibody design. It sounds like the iPhone 7c will get much of its inspiration from the iPhone 5s, which will have been three years old by next year. The shape and size will be “almost” the same and, like its predecessors, it’ll also come in your choice of three colors. Whether they go with the bold colors of the iPhone 5c or opt back for rose golds and space greys remains to be seen. As far as the rest of the specs, we’re looking at an A9 processor, 2.5D curved glass, 1642 mAh battery and Touch ID support, but no love for 3D Touch like its flagship cousins. Small scale trial production has reportedly already commenced with mass production starting in January. The iPhone 7c should be revealed at a special Apple event, likely alongside the new Apple Watch 2, early next year with the actual launch slated for April. Via Gadgetz Arena Share This With The World!
