When it comes to smartphones, you usually have two choices: protect your smartphone with a bulky, unsightly case, or keep it slick and clean but unprotected. Strip aims to fix that dilemma.

Strip, created by engineer Nathan Cobb, isn’t a case but rather a pair of strips that stick to the side of your device and enough traction that you won’t risk dropping it when you’re handling it. Instead of looking at how to protect a smartphone when it hits the ground, Cobb took it back a step and found a solution to keeping the smartphone from leaving your hand in the first place.

Another benefit of Strip’s simple design is that the pads will fit on almost an device with flat or rounded sides, including but definitely not limited to most if not all of the flagship phones.

Strip is on Kickstarter right now and for a measly $7 you can get two pairs of strips, which will ship in December. Cobb has already blown past his goal, so Strip is a sure thing.
