Skyrim DLC ‘Hearthfire’ Hits PC, Still Bugged on Xbox, Still Non-Existent on PS3 Dylan Duarte October 4, 2012 With its latest batch of DLC, Skyrim gets injected with a little bit of Minecraft. Hearthfire, Skyrim’s second DLC installment, hits PC today and allows players to buy a plot land and construct their dream home. Want a greenhouse? You got it. Ever thought about being a beekeeper? Build a bee hive and try it out. Have you always wanted your own alchemy lab? Get to work by collecting resources like lumber and clay, which I understand is fun for some people. Unfortunately, Hearthfire hasn’t been received too well by critics on the Xbox 360 due to a number of technical flaws. Bethesda has yet to release a patch for the reported glitches and it’s currently unknown whether or not these problems are present in the PC version. Then there’s the issue of the PlayStation 3 Skyrim DLC – the issue being that it still doesn’t exist. Dawnguard, the first bit of Skyrim DLC, hit Xbox 360 and PC over two months ago, but has yet to surface on PS3. It’s not surprising that Hearthfire is absent as well. Bethesda has been playing it close to the chest in terms of their issues with the PS3, but Sony themselves are trying to help sort the situation out. The latest news from Bethesda Vice President of PR and marketing Pete Hines is that there is no news, but that he’ll make an announcement when he has one to make. via Slash Gear Share This With The World!
