Sand Castle Day Beth Snyder August 17, 2011 This is another one that really works for me. I used to build the coolest sand castles on the beach when I was a kid. OK, maybe other people made better ones, but I thought they were amazing and that’s all that counts. I’d decorate mine with trees made by dripping wet sand in piles (it comes out looking kind of like fir trees), and they always had ridiculously deep moats. My plastic shovel would serve as a drawbridge when I was done. So why not go build yourself a sand castle today?
