Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge Pricing Revealed Michael Kwan March 12, 2015 News When Samsung formally unveiled its newest flagship smartphones at its Unpacked event at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, they kept pretty quiet when it came to pricing information. We assumed at the time that the pricing would be in line with other comparable flagships. After meeting with the folks at Samsung Canada today, we can now confirm the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge pricing for the Canadian market. One thing that we need to note right off the bat is that Samsung currently has no plans to offer a factory unlocked version of the Galaxy S6 or the Galaxy S6 Edge in Canada. Instead, if you want to get your hands on this newest glass-and-aluminum flagship smartphone, you’ll have to go through one of the many carriers who will be offering the device. And while those wireless providers can set the specific rules, like which monthly plans qualify, what we have here is the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge pricing as “recommended” by Samsung. Samsung Galaxy S6 32GB: $249 64GB: $359 128GB: $469 Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge 32GB: $349 64GB: $459 128GB: $569 These prices are all based on a qualifying two-year contract with your Canadian carrier of choice. You’ll notice that there is no 16GB option and this could be helping to stave off complaints about the lack of microSD expansion. Keep your eyes out for our special hands-on preview video of both the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge very soon with the more comprehensive review to follow shortly thereafter. Expect the phones to launch on April 10 with pre-orders being taken right now. Share This With The World!
