Just think…without the Richter scale we would have had no idea how awful the earthquake in Japan was. Now quick…decide if that’s a good or bad thing. Why do we always have to quantify everything? I make a point of not doing so. When it’s cold out, that is sufficient information. It will not help me to know the actual temperature or wind chill. Ditto when it’s hot. So, for me, “really bad quake” would have been enough. But hey…other people don’t live like I do, which is probably a good thing. Thus this holiday.
