NZXT Releases the Tempest 210 James White September 17, 2011 As you know, NZXT has been aggressively attacking the entry level and budget minded case market. They have released a number of cases in the past few months that focus on function before design, often leaving the cases very clean and understated. Still allowing for distinction in their various styles, NZXT further expands this market with the Tempest 210. This new Tempest 210 is designed for those with need more than the Source 210 can offer, but doesn’t like the Tempest 410. The Tempest 210 is has an clean box design with style coming from the cut of the vents, beveled case lines, and white fans. While it does not have the top cover, extra USB ports, or modular fans its big brother has, the 210 does maintain the air flow with space for 6 120 mm fans (two top slots will also fit 140mm fans). You will also find 1 USB 2.0 port, 1 USB 3.0 port (unique to my knowledge), 3 external 5.25″ slots, 8 internal 3.5″ slots, and room for a graphics card up to 13 inches (330 mm). At the MSRP of $54.99, I think the NZXT Tempest 210 is priced just right for those who need an affordable case with plenty of cooling. While I think this case is the perfect mix of their current sub $100 case lines, I would like to see them tackle a high-end case in the $150 to $200 range. While I wait for that, one NZXT Tempest 210 please. Share This With The World!
