Nokia Patents Multi-Display Facet Smartwatch Design Dylan Duarte October 17, 2013 Design concepts for the smartwatch that Nokia just patented make me wonder what well-known products looked absolutely insane in earlier stages of the design process. Check out the Nokia Facet smartwatch, which at this point sports multiple displays and looks not only completely impractical, but like the most uncomfortable thing you could wear. Of course, it’s just a design concept on a patent application; there’s no guarantee that this thing is coming to the market looking like this, if it comes to market at all. Not to mention that Microsoft is acquiring Nokia’s devices business and could have totally different plans in mind. Smartwatches are poised to become all the rage, at least that’s what the tech industry seems to be hoping, so it’s not surprising that Nokia is exploring the option.
