Often what makes or breaks a graphics card’s continued sales after initial release is the cooler used. After the initial market hype, it quickly becomes about who has the cooler that will get the best overclocks with the least noise. MSI’s Twin Frozr series is one of the best GPU coolers and now has a new entry in the MSI 7950 Twin Frozr III 3 GB graphics card.

The Twin Frozr III achieves up to 10°C lower operational temperatures and 13.7 dB less noise under full load. In additional to these already impressive numbers, the MSI Afterburner software has access to the voltage system on the R7950 which provides up to 37% more overclocking headroom. The MSI R7950 Twin Frozr III just might be THE card to get once released.

The fun doesn’t stop there. MSI also has some factory overclocked reference cards in the works as well. These feature a slightly tweaked reference cooler design and some staggering numbers. Please note these cards have not been released and are currently still in the final stages of production. As such the numbers are subject to change one way or the other. Either way, I recommend you keep an eye out for the MSI Twin Frozr III 7950 when it hits the market.
