When most people think about the Tt eSPORTS brand from the folks at Thermaltake, they usually turn their attention to the world of PC gaming with products like the Level 10 M Mouse. They also have headsets on the console side of things, but the mobile gaming market is definitely on the rise. At COMPUTEX 2014 in Taipei, we had the opportunity to see some of the secret sauce that Tt eSPORTS has brewing in that market with its yet unnamed mobile gaming controller.

Of course, it would not be fair to say that they’re reinventing the wheel here, but Tt eSPORTS does look like it’s doing a lot of things right with this controller. For instance, whereas it also has the Apple certification to work with iDevices like the SteelSeries Stratus, the Tt eSPORTS mobile gaming controller will just as easily play friendly with Android too. The connection is via Bluetooth and battery life should be quite good.

When I had a chance to play with the early prototype version on the COMPUTEX trade show floor, I immediately noticed that it has a good amount of weight too. This gives you a good assurance to the overall build quality and the layout will immediately feel very familiar to people coming from the Xbox universe. You’ll also notice a flip-up arm, not dissimilar to the MOGA, to hold your smartphone in place while gaming too.

Many of the details can change between now and time of retail launch, but Thermaltake and Tt eSPORTS have confirmed that they are definitely moving forward with this. Check out the video below for our hands-on time with the mobile gaming controller and keep it locked to MEGATechNews for more coverage from COMPUTEX 2014.
