Lucky Penny Day

I admit it. I’m one of those people who typically regards pennies as annoying and not worth the time. I have been known on more than one occasion to simply throw them away, because they bug me. In countries other than the US, pennies don’t even exist, and good riddance! However, there is the flip side. You’ve heard it, I’m sure. “See a penny, pick it up, all day long you’ll have good luck.” So even though later I will be annoyed by them, I can’t resist picking them up when I see them lying around. And that is the point of this holiday.
