Despite the acclaim the iPhone X has received, $1,000 is a hefty price tag for a phone. If the cost has been keeping you away, consider going with Sprint, where you can currently lease the phone for 18 monthly payments of $20 through the Sprint Flex program. Those payments are usually $41.67, so you’re getting a bargain of more than half off.

Keep in mind, however, that you’re leasing the phone, not necessarily buying it. Sprint says it’s offering the “lowest price” of all the carriers, but with most carriers, once you’ve paid off the monthly installments, the phone is yours to keep. With this deal, once you pay off the initial $360 at the end of your 18-month term, you still don’t own the face. You have to decide whether you want to trade it in towards an upgrade or pay the remainder to keep it.

That doesn’t mean the deal isn’t good, just know what it is going into it. It’s an affordable way to get your hands on an iPhone X right now, and it’s not a bad way to take the phone for a test run, considering you can give it back for something else if you’re not happy with it. The offer is available through Sprint, Best Buy, and other Sprint partners. If the iPhone X isn’t your thing and you’re still in the market for something on the cheaper side, be sure to look into Android Go once those phones start to hit.
