Lazy Moms’ Day Beth Snyder September 2, 2011 Unfortunately, I’m not a mom, or I was going to open this one simply with, “You get it.” However, this holiday isn’t so much about celebrating moms who are always lazy, but rather to give those moms who usually make an effort a day off. Turn on the TV and use it to babysit…it won’t kill them for a day. Make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch. Boxed mac & cheese for dinner. Again, it won’t kill them for a day. Sometimes you just have to take a day for yourself that doesn’t involve making a huge effort for your kids. Besides, a fair portion of them should be back to school, so if you’re one of the lucky ones who has an empty house, don’t bother cleaning or organizing today. Just hang out on the couch with a book or whatever…you’ve earned it.
