IFetch: While the Owner is Away, the Dog Can Play Beth Snyder March 2, 2014 Dogs are one of life’s definite pleasures. They are always happy to see you, they know when you’re upset and try to comfort you… they make themselves a part of the family, and you’re happy to have them. But you have to go to work, and your dog is home alone all day, bored. Either this can result in a lethargic, overweight dog, or it can result in your house being torn apart. Either way, it’s not good for you or your dog. iFetch was a Kickstarter project that achieved its funding goal and then some, and is now available for purchase. What it does is allow your pet to play fetch all by himself. Simply place the iFetch in an area where you know things won’t get broken, set it for between 10 and 30 feet, and head to work. It then throws a specially designed tennis ball for your dog to fetch and return, and providing your dog then drops the ball into the funnel, it keeps going. It might even throw the ball longer than your dog is interested in chasing it, which if you’ve played fetch you know is usually not the case at all. And there are no worries that iFetch will be left running while your dog takes a time out to nap on the couch: Dropping the ball into the funnel is what turns it on, so if Fido drops the ball somewhere and forgets about it, the machine doesn’t turn on again until he returns it. You can either run iFetch connected to a wall outlet or with batteries (6 C size, not included), which means you can place it pretty much anywhere you want without having to worry about finding power or creating a tripping hazard. It measures just 9 inches in diameter and 8 inches tall, and weighs a mere 2.5 pounds with batteries. There is a bit of training involved, which can take as little as a couple of days depending on how quickly your dog catches on. But once they do, they’re good to go. Extra sets of five balls can be purchased separately for $10.00 US. Source: Coolest Gadgets Share This With The World!
