Have you ever looked at the footage you get from your GoPro and wished that you could have shared that video with your Twitter followers live rather than sharing it with them on YouTube or Facebook after the fact? Your dream scenario has now come true, because it has now been announced that GoPro can integrated directly with Periscope, allowing you to live stream that glorious action video as it happens.

This isn’t the first time that people have had the opportunity to indulge in GoPro live streaming, but the partnership with Periscope will help GoPro reach an even wider audience. Last year, a similar announcement was made with streaming competitor Meerkat, though it sure feels like Periscope is just more popular. With GoPro live streaming support, this could grow even further.

You have to remember that Twitter also announced recently that Periscope videos are now going to be integrated directly into Twitter feeds. All you need to do is connect the GoPro to your smartphone and the Periscope app will recognize it as a video source to enable your GoPro live streaming capabilities. It’s easy enough to toggle between the GoPro video feed and the one from your iPhone while streaming too.

I imagine we’ll be seeing a lot more drone videos, as well as the usual skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing and other board-based action sports videos very soon.
