Google Glass Getting Full Web Browser

Google has heard the complaints about the lack of a proper web browser on their Google Glass and is looking to remedy that with this month’s software update, which will equip the device with a proper, full web browser. You now have no excuse for not reading MEGATechNews while walking down the sidewalk.

If you’re like me and can’t imagine operating a standard web browser without a keyboard and mouse, Google has got you covered, as they’ve developed a specific control scheme that utilizes both touchpad movements and head movements. Running your fingers along the touch screen will let you do things like zoom in and out of pages and scroll up and down, while physically moving your head around with two fingers on the touchpad will let you look around the website. Cool beans.

On top of this, Glass is receiving more hands-free functionality with voice commands that let you reply to texts, phone calls, and send photos to specific contacts. Users now have access to their entire Gmail contacts list.

The update should be coming to the Explorer Edition within the week.
