Go Big with Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 and Galaxy Book Michael Kwan February 27, 2017 News Everyone is clamoring over all the new smartphones (and dumbphones) being announced at MWC in Barcelona, so I guess Samsung didn’t want anyone else stealing their thunder on that front. Instead, the company has revealed a pair of new tablets for the high-end mobile professional. Say hello to the Galaxy Tab S3 and the new Galaxy Book. Starting with the Galaxy Tab S3, this is the natural successor in the higher-end Galaxy Tab S series. A cheapo this most certainly is not. You get a 9.7-inch Super AMOLED display to enjoy your “premium mobile experience.” Expect to enjoy HDR video content, Samsung Flow biometric authentication, and a refined S Pen with a smaller 0.7mm tip for greater precision, along with increased pressure sensitivity. As far as the raw specs go, the new Galaxy Tab S3 has a Snapdragon 820 chip, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, microSD expansion good for up to 256GB more space, a 13MP main camera, 5MP front camera, USB-C, 6000mAh battery with fast charging, and Android 7.0. Personally, I’m more interested in the new Galaxy Book, which replaces the TabPro line for Windows 10 convertibles. Think of this as Samsung’s answer to the Microsoft Surface Pro. Choose between a 10.6-inch TFT FHD dispay (1920×1280 pixels) or a 12-inch Super AMOLED screen (2160×1440 pixels). Get up to a Core i5 chip, up to 256GB SSD, and 4GB of RAM.
