Galaxy S5 Active Now Available from Samsung Canada

Samsung’s Galaxy S5 Active, a rugged, durable smartphone with US Mil-STD-810G certification, is now available in Canada. It has the features you’ve come to expect from the Galaxy line, such as Ultra Power Saving Mode, a built-in heart rate sensor, and the Samsung KNOX Workspace, all wrapped up in a shock, water, and dust resistant casing.

The phone is also resistant to salt, humidity, solar radiation, and rain, though I suppose that last one goes along with the water resistance. The phone can be immersed in up 1m of water for 30 minutes. The 16MP rear camera allows you to capture all your adventures and the 5.1-inch Full HD Super AMOLED screen automatically adjusts brightness and contrast to help you see the screen clearly wherever you are.

The Galaxy S5 Active offers a 2.5GHz quadcore processor, 2.1MP front camera (along with the aforementioned rear camera), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, NFC, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, a 2800mAh battery, a range of sensors and camera features, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

This phone is totally built for an active lifestyle. It’s got a range of health-centric features and a build that’s just begging to be roughed up.
