I’m weird when it comes to using cases to protect my electronics. I say weird because I regularly drop my phone and watch the two halves and usually the battery fly apart, and yet I just won’t put a case on it. It’s really hard for me to find a case that I consider both useful and aesthetically appealing.

I don’t own a Microsoft Surface, but if I did, there’s a very good chance that I’d pick up a FreedomCase from Chris Leung and his team. They’ve already blown way past their Kickstarter goal, tripling it with a week to go, and now they’re looking to surpass their first stretch goal and add a customizable element to their case.

I love the kickstand element of FreedomCase. As a movie junkie, I find the true appeal of tablets to be the ability to watch films wherever I go, and an adjustable kickstand will ensure that I always have a comfortable way to watch. The fact that it doubles as a case that integrates with the keyboard cover is just icing on the cake.
