Flickr Adds One Terabyte of Storage Space Dylan Duarte May 20, 2013 Do you know just how much photos it would take to fill up a terabyte? The correct answer is: more than you will ever take. That’s how much storage space Flickr is now offering for its users, even on free accounts. Even if you hoarded only the high quality digital photos, that’s still well over one hundred thousand photos. I doubt it’s a coincidence that this upgrade comes in the wake of Yahoo purchasing Tumblr. Yahoo owns Flickr, and not only do they want to remind everyone that they’re still around, but a good bit of people-pleasing will probably help retain existing Tumblr users as well as bring in new ones. As tired as we all are of being inundated with “selfies” and poorly-lit photos of the most mundane moments of peoples’ lives, it is oddly comforting to know that all of this will be saved for ages and ages. via TechCrunch Share This With The World!
