Dell Leaving US Smartphone Business Dylan Duarte March 29, 2012 Sure, over the years you may have heard the phrase “dude, I got a Dell,” but you know what you didn’t hear? “Dude, I got a Dell smartphone.” The company hasn’t done very well at all in the smartphone business, which is why they seem to be calling it quits. The last two Dell phones – the Venue and the Venue Pro – are set to be pulled from US shelves. Sales will continues in India, China, Japan, and South Korea, albeit with limited models. A spokesperson for the company confirmed this, saying that mobility products have shorter life cycles than laptops and desktops. However, he (or she) also said that Dell will be launching more mobile products later this year, but didn’t specificy what those would be. I’m going to take a stab in the dark and guess that they won’t be smartphones. via Intomobile Share This With The World!
