Corsair Updates their Vengence and Dominator Series with Quad-channeled Kits for INTEL’s X79 Platform James White November 23, 2011 Press Release Corsair’s Dominator and Vengeance series of RAM have become common names to amongs gamers and overclockers alike. To ensure everyone has exactly what they will need for their X79 builds, Corsair has covered areas of the market with their initial RAM kits others may not be addressing just yet.For starters, we have the Corsair Dominator RAM in four kits. These come in either 16 GB or 32 GB sets. The two 16 GB sets are both CAS9 at 1866 MHz and 2133 MHz with only 1.5V needed to operate them. The first Quad-channeled RAM kits I have seen with high speed, low power use, and low CAS. All of these will support XMP 1.3 profiles for easy tuning. The Vengeance series usually covers the entry level to lower high end for Corsair, and as such these will have 7 different configurations. These include 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB sets with all but one 32GB kit at 1600 MHz. The top of the line 32GB set is clocked at 1866 MHz. What will separate Corsair from other at first will be versatility with both a low-profile set of RAM and two 1.35V low power kits. All with support for XMP 1.3, Corsair has what you need no matter what type of system you want to build. While no MSRPs were dropped in the press release we received, expect to see them on the shelves soon with the X79 boards. But just looking at the pics, they probably won’t be cheap.
