It wasn’t until I grew up and started having friends who were from other places that I found out not everyone puts butter on their corn, even when it’s on the cob. I can’t tell you how confused I was when they looked at me funny for asking not only why there wasn’t any butter, but why it wasn’t in a flat dish that held a stick so I could just spin my ear of corn in it. Which of course requires those neat little plastic pointy holders, or you get butter all over your hands…not to mention the bunch of salt and pepper. If you’re one of those people who simply eats corn au naturale, consider trying a little butter on it today. Trust me, it’s fabulous.
