Beth Snyder August 22, 2011 Extras Over the last few months I’ve written about several different alarm clocks in my neverending quest to find one that will actually get me out of bed on time for work. I don’t know that this one will accomplish that, but it looks like a fun thing that would be worth a shot (pun intended). Although I’m not so sure what exactly the taxi has to do with anything, and it does make me a bit uncomfortable being that a friend I’ve known almost 30 years drives a yellow taxi, the concept is pretty neat. When the alarm goes off, you’ll hear the noise of a car, which might just be a different enough sound to wake you up. In order to shut it off, you have to point the gun at it. Apparently there’s some sort of sensor in there so it knows you’ve aimed correctly. The drawback is there is no snooze, so depending on how comfortable you are with guns, it’s possible you could shut it off and promptly fall back to sleep. The alarm is made of a mixture of metal and plastic, and the toy gun is all plastic. This product is not recommended for those under the age of 14, and will not be shipped to anyone under the age of 18.
