Boba Fett Game Among LucasArts Casualties Dylan Duarte April 4, 2013 News broke yesterday that Disney, who recently acquired Lucasfilm and all of its subsidiaries, will be closing down LucasArts and licensing the Star Wars brand to other developers going forward. Some rightfully see this a tragedy, given the iconic games that the studio has produced in the past, but the real tragedy is in what was on its way – Star Wars 1313. Star Wars 1313 was shaping up to be a mature action game set in the beloved Star Wars universe. Players would assume the role of not just any bounty hunter, but the bounty hunter – Boba Fett. This doesn’t mean that the game is necessarily dead in the Sarlacc Pit, though, as it’s currently being shopped around to third-party developers. The chances of it getting made aren’t very high, but hopefully it’s something that will be revisited in a few years when Star Wars is back on the big screen. via The Verge Share This With The World!
