We’ve all done it: You park the car in a crowded location, run into the store, or attend the event, or whatever it is you’re doing, and when you come out you stand there, staring blankly around the parking lot hoping to see your vehicle. Sometimes you win, other times not so much. I once spent over 30 minutes walking around a parking ramp because a friend borrowed my car and didn’t park it where I left it when he was done. It’s not fun.

The Automatic Parked Car Finder is a simple little gadget that can save you a big headache. Just plug it into your cigarette lighter (oops, sorry, I always do that… your car’s power port) before you park, and when you cut the engine it will mark the location where you’ve parked on a map app. Each location is even time and date-stamped so you can track where you parked and when, in case there is ever a dispute or, heaven forbid, your car is stolen. It also has the added bonus of being able to remind you to feed your meter so you don’t come back to your car to find an unpleasant surprise.

Best part is, no one will know what appears to be a simple USB adapter is doing anything other than hanging out waiting to charge your phone. In fact, you can actually charge your phone with it, since it really does provide a USB adapter. The Finder measures just 3 1/4″ L x 1 1/2″ W x 1″ D, and weighs in at 14 ounces. The drawback is it only appears to work with iOS, but maybe there will be one for the rest of us soon. You can pick one up for $49.95 US.
