As I mentioned in my review of the first Asus Eee Pad Transformer, the quad core successors are just around the corner. As it turns out, we could be getting our hands on the Eee Pad Transformer 2 a little sooner than expected.

If you go over to the LambdaTek Component Shop, you’ll notice that they already have the Eee Pad Transformer 2 listed, albeit without a product image. More importantly, though, when you click on the “check stock” button, it tells you that the product will be available on November 7. That’s less than a month away.

Of course, we need to take this with more than a few grains of salt, as the November 7 date could be nothing more than a placeholder until they get some sort of official word from Asus. The £448.21 listing price (before VAT) is also quite a bit higher than the $499 price announced by Asus. That works out to about $700!

As a quick refresher, we’re fully expecting the Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2 to be among the first with the new NVIDIA Tegra3 processor, otherwise known by its Kal-El codename. This will be backed with 1GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 10.1-inch display, along with Android Honeycomb.
