Ashton Kutcher was officially named Lenovo product engineer last October, but I prefer to think that he’s still method acting as Steve Jobs, even though that movie has come and gone. Either way, Ashton Kutcher and Lenovo have just announced the next generation of the YOGA family of products – the YOGA Tablet 2, the YOGA Tablet 2 Pro, the YOGA Tablet 2 with Windows, and the Yoga 3 Pro convertible PC.

The YOGA Tablet 2 will come in 8 and 10-inch models and you can pick up either an Android or Windows version. As with the previous model, users can enjoy the tablet in the hold, tilt, and stand (with improved kickstand) positions, but there’s also a new hang position that lets users – you guessed it – hang their tablets! For the sake of your tablet, I wouldn’t hang it over a bathtub or a pit of a quicksand.

The tablet now has dual front speakers with cinematic Dolby Audio and Wolfson Master HiFi. The back sports an 8MP rear camera. You’ll also find a micro USB port, dual band WiFi capabilities, and an improved battery that can last up to 18 hours on a single charge. If you crack it open (not recommended!) you’ll find an Intel Atom Processor Z3745 with 2M cache and 4 cores, 2GB RAM, and 16GB of storage. Well, you won’t actually find the storage, but you know what I mean.

The YOGA Tablet 2 Android models are available now at for $249 and $299. The 10-inch Windows tablet will be available at Best Buy in late October for $400 and the 8-inch model will be available through the Lenovo website in late October for $300.

The YOGA Tablet 2 Pro is 13-inches, runs Android 4.4 Kit Kat, and comes witha built-in tablet projecter and a subwoofer. It can output 8 watts of sound and run for up to 15 hours on a single battery charge. Needless to say, it’s geared towards entertainment. It’s powered by the same stuff that powers the YOGA Tablet 2 but has double the storage at 32GB. All of the models offer a microSD card slot.

The YOGA Tablet 2 Pro will be available through the Lenovo website at the end of October starting at $499.

Finally there’s the ultra slim YOGA Pro 3 PC, which happens to be a convertible, so it’s geared towards the working man suffering a mid-life crisis (hiyooo!). There are four “modes” when using the YOGA Pro 3 – laptop, stand, tent, and tablet. They’re all pretty self-explanatory. The 13.3″ QHD+ display is 3200 x 1800 and doubles as a touchscreen for when it’s in tablet mode. It’s powered by an Intel Core M-70 processor and up to 8GB RAM. The storage is limited to 512GB but it’s a solid-state drive.

The YOGA 3 Pro is available now through the Lenovo website for $1,349. Check out the various press releases below.

Gives Users A New Way to Create a Home Theater with a Projector in a Tablet

Built for entertainment buffs with built-in tablet-projector
13-in media tablet with exhilarating 8 watts of sound including a subwoofer a first for a tablet
Offers incredible up to 15 hours of battery life and now comes with a fourth mode – Hang
LONDON October 9, 2014: Lenovo (HKSE: 992) (ADR: LNVGY) today announced a new way to read, watch, connect and create with the new YOGA Tablet 2 Pro. Developed with Ashton Kutcher, who joined Lenovo as a product engineer a year ago, the new YOGA Tablet 2 Pro redefines the tablet experience.
Not only does it surprise and delight users with a number of premium technologies, it delivers innovation that ties together hardware and software innovation in a new way.

Designed to focus on an elevated media experience, the YOGA Tablet 2 Pro has as its star feature a built-in Pico projector. The projector lets users turn inside walls into an instant TV or movie screen1. Lenovo paired this premium technology for great video with unbelievable sound by giving the tablet a first – an 8 watt sound system with a subwoofer. These exceptional features along with a host of other technologies make the YOGA Tablet 2 Pro like no other tablet.

Tablets Go Big Screen for Massive Multi-Media
As more and more people are using tablets to consume the ever growing volume of digital media photos, videos and games – users are demanding bigger screens. A Lenovo research study found 88 percent of people are devouring large amounts of digital content on tablets at home, and more than half of them watch TV several times a week on their tablet2. That insight plus focus group feedback led to the creation of the larger 13-in screen YOGA Tablet 2 Pro media tablet. Designed from the ground up specifically for digitally-hungry consumers, it features a QHD 2560×1440 screen for life-like images.

A New Way to Watch and Hear
Whether presenting in a meeting to colleagues or lying at home watching a movie, the YOGA Tablet 2 Pro makes it easy to view and share content with its Pico projector. Users can project a 16:9 high resolution image onto any surface for an instant 50-in theater experience. With automatic image adjustment and up to three hours playback time, users can get through a double feature before having to plug in the tablet. The tablets enhanced audio system also provides a captivating 8 watts of sound, quadrupling the speaker power of an average tablet. Its dual, large-chamber speakers are front-facing for dynamic audio, and a subwoofer on the back rounds it out with deep bass notes while Dolby Audio and Wolfson Master HiFi ensure a multi-channel listening experience, just like the movies.

More Modes, Performance and Software for Multilayered Lifestyles
The YOGA Tablet 2 Pro makes users lives easier in other ways too with a fourth mode Hang. Now users can interact with the tablet in a new way by hanging it anywhere they want. They can also continue to enjoy the other three original modes: Hold for better angles for reading, Tilt for easily browsing online and Stand for close up content from digital libraries. While loaded with lots of useful features that adapt to users lifestyles, the Platinum-colored tablet remains thin and light at just 3.7mm thin and 950 grams.

The new YOGA Tablet 2 Pro also runs on the latest 4th generation Intel Atom processor, helping power smooth multimedia playback and rendering, great for multitaskers. Also, for picture-perfect snapshots, it has an extremely high resolution 8 MP rear camera and plenty of storage equipped with 32GB and up to 64 GB via Micro SD. And with up to 15 hours of battery life and optional 4G3, users can stay mobile nearly around the clock. To keep up with their busy lifestyles, users need software to keep them organized, especially with the myriad of contacts contained in their different email and social media accounts. With the Brewster app that comes preloaded on the tablet, users now have an app to manage contacts for them. Brewster files contacts from various apps into one address book that merges, de-duplicates, and even adds images to contacts and also shares verified contact information to a users contacts.

New Lenovo Ultra Slim YOGA 3 Pro Adapts to Users

New striking and sturdy watchband hinge makes YOGA 3 Pro dramatically thinner and lighter than its predecessors
New intelligent Harmony software adapts to users app picks and preferences
Fully loaded with top-of-the-line technologies including QHD+ screen, latest Intel Core M processor and rich JBL audio features
LONDON October 9, 2014: Lenovo (HKSE: 992) (ADR: LNVGY) today announced the new YOGA 3 Pro, an ultra slim convertible PC. The new 13-in YOGA 3 Pro uniquely address users desires for an extremely stylish device, best-in-breed performance capabilities and the hardware and software adaptability they crave. The YOGA 3 Pro provides this and more: an unbelievably thin and light frame with new watchband hinge design, a QHD+ screen and Harmony, Lenovos intuitive software that adapts to users personal preferences as they use the device in its different modes.

Watchband Hinge Pushes Boundary on Thin and Light
While the YOGA 2 Pro became synonymous with thin and light, the new YOGA 3 Pro takes this concept even further by shaving 17 percent from its predecessors frame at just 12.8 mm thin thinner than a pencil when opened. The PC also comes in lighter at 1.19kg 14 percent less than before – lighter than a bottle of water.

The device achieves this incredibly thin and light design thanks to Lenovos new watchband hinge constructed from more than 800 pieces of steel and aluminum. Lenovo engineers redesigned the original YOGA hinge so that it now provides the same degree of flexibility and flatness seen in metallic watch bands. Instead of two focus points, there are now six. Complementing the distinctive new hinge design, the YOGA 3 Pro is available in three eye-catching colors: Clementine Orange, Platinum Silver or Champagne Gold.

Adaptive Software
To advance the concept of adaptive computing and complement the YOGAs responsive hardware features, Lenovo created the new Harmony software experience. Harmony gives YOGA owners a new way to discover applications and customize how they behave when used. For example, when reading an e-book, Harmony will automatically change the brightness and color temperature according to the environment lighting.

When using presentation software, Harmony can enable motion control or touch depending on the mode, or when watching video it can optimize the audio settings. Harmony can recognize and optimize the experience with more than 50 of the most popular applications.

Harmony also recommends which apps other YOGA owners find useful and provides a handy shortcut to the apps used most frequently in each mode.

Optimized Performance in Any Mode
The YOGA 3 Pro offers users an excellent experience in any mode from the moment they open the lid. With a QHD+ 3200×1800 display, this bright and clear screen looks amazing whatever the task – editing images in Laptop mode, video chatting in Stand mode, watching movies in Tent mode or online shopping in Tablet mode. Built with durable Gorilla Glass, this screen is designed to hold up to wherever users go.

While videos look stunning, the YOGA 3 Pro makes them sound just as spectacular with premium JBL speakers with Waves Audio, which automatically adjusts the audio in each of the four modes so that when the speakers are not facing the user, the audio still sounds crisp and clear.

Equipped with an Intel Core M processor, solid state drive storage up to 512 GB SSD and Intel integrated graphics, users can multitask at will, store large digital libraries and experience smooth video playback without lag. The YOGA 3 Pro keeps users up and running longer with up to nine hours of battery life1 and connected via high-speed 802.11 a/c WiFi2.
