Apple-Samsung Trial Reveals Steve Jobs’ Opinion on 7-Inch iPad Michael Kwan August 3, 2012 You know how Steve Jobs once said that Apple would never make an iPad mini? That a 7-inch tablet was basically useless and fulfilled the needs of no one? As it turns out, the late Mr. Jobs may have had a slightly different opinion on the matter. As part of the proceedings between Apple and Samsung at the moment, Scott Forstall’s testimony brought in some emails into evidence. Those emails came by Apple VP Eddy Cue and he was talking specifically about the Samsung Galaxy Tab. This was back in January 2011 and he said that “there will be a 7-inch market and we should do one.” The kicker? He “expressed this to Steve several times since Thanksgiving and he seemed very receptive the last time.” Yes, Steve Jobs was “very receptive” to the idea of a 7-inch iPad, in stark contrast to earlier reports that he said Apple would never do it. What does this mean? When and if the so-called 7.85-inch iPad mini hits the market later this year, Steve Jobs might not actually roll over in his grave. And Apple could roll around in an increasingly large tub of cash. Via The Verge Share This With The World!
