Wife Appreciation Day

I shall assume at some point I will run across a “Husband Appreciation Day”, but until such time, let’s just focus on the women. I’m like that. If you have a wife, you should be aware of what she brings to your partnership. Whether she stays at home or works, or some combination of the two, she is taking care of things so you don’t have to. Which is not to say you are not also taking care of things so she doesn’t have to, but today is all about her. Why not take a second (like, say, at halftime) to run out and buy her a bunch of flowers? Maybe offer to wash your own dishes after the guys leave instead of leaving her to clean up. I won’t ask you to not watch the game (that would be hypocritical, since as I type this I have the game on even though I’m at work), but only to make an effort to let your wife know how much you appreciate her. It’s easy, and it will make her whole week. You might even get lucky.
