Video Earrings Bring Streaming Content To Your Lobes Beth Snyder September 8, 2013 As you may know, one of my hobbies/side businesses is making jewelry. So whenever I see something new I tend to check it out, because it never hurts to see what’s popular in case it fits into the style I make. Video Earrings are definitely not something that would fall under that category, but I am intrigued by them… how could I not be? They’re earrings. They’re video screens. They’re like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Which doesn’t necessarily mean I think they’re a good idea, just that I find them interesting. How did they even think of such a thing? What you get is a pair of earrings that consist of a 2″ x 1″ screen that can display slide shows and play videos for 4-8 hours on a single charge. When their battery dies, just hook them up to a power source with the included USB cable for about an hour and you’re good to go again. You can even have sound with your videos, although they’re not designed with continuous sound play in mind. Content is loaded onto the earrings using the same USB cable that charges them, and the planned capacities range from 2GB through 8GB. The earrings will come with either studs or French hooks on silver or black long dangles for females, or in short or long studs in silver only for males. The device itself measures 2.25 inches x 1.25 inches x 0.20 inches, and there is no word on how much they weigh. Judging by how they look, though, I would guess they’re not something you would want to wear on a daily basis for fear of stretching out the holes in your ears to the point where you can’t wear regular earrings anymore. Video Earrings are currently seeking funding on Indiegogo, where they are way, way short of their goal with less than three weeks left. Just $1.00 US will get you in on the project as a fan, but you’ll have to pledge at least $100.00 US to get yourself a pair of earrings. Source: Technabob Share This With The World!
