Being touted as an “exceptional phone” at an “exceptional price,” the Motorola Moto G is now available for pre-order with an expected shipping date of next Monday, December 2.

With a 4.5-inch HD display, healthy battery life, quad-core processor, and Android 4.3 (with 4.4 on the way), the Moto G is available for either $179 or $199, depending on whether or not you get the 8 gig or the 16 gig memory.  Both the Global and the US model work with GSM-based 3G networks. Neither model will operate on CDMA networks like Verizon’s.

The phones also come with fifty gigs of storage on Google Drive, free for two years.

Do you think they’re exceptional phones at exceptional prices? Or are they decent phones for affordable prices? I’m inclined to say the latter, but that’s isn’t a bad thing by any means.

You can pre-order the phone at Motorola’s official site.
