There are several sites where I gather information for the other posts I do here at MEGATech, most of which I scan at least every other day to see if there is something that catches my eye. I won’t name any names, but yesterday I ran across an item on one of the sites which makes me question the veracity of anything they have ever published. It seems there is a “new device” (phrase taken from the headline) that allows you to store pictures somewhere other than your hard drive. It comes in several different GB increments, and is ridiculously expensive. Turns out, this “new device” featured in the article was a flash drive. I laughed for a really long time. Because, seriously…how long have flash drives been around? Ten years? Longer? It seems like forever, I know that.
