I survived the first family Christmas with my sanity somewhat intact! It’s a Christmas miracle! No, really…it was actually pretty good. My second-oldest niece brought her boyfriend, who in addition to being an incredibly brave kid for coming to a gathering of my family is a genuinely nice kid. I think she did good with this one. There was more food than any 50 people would need to eat, but we made our most valiant effort. We only do gifts for the kids, and it seemed like they all for the most part liked what they got. Now I have a week of downtime, while I’m sure many of you are just gearing up for the mad rush, so I wish you all luck! I’m going to take tomorrow off to spend time with my mother, so I’ll see you all again on Wednesday (Boxing Day for some of you). Happy Holidays!
