The New iPad Hits the US Dylan Duarte March 16, 2012 Today is the day, you Apple fanatics. The third generation iPad goes on sale today, with 24-hour Wal-Marts selling the device at 12:01am this morning. Apple Stores opened at 5am PST, and it’s odd to see them begin selling their own device five hours after Wal-Mart began. Best Buy, Radio Shack, Sam’s Club, Target, AT&T, and Verizon will all be selling the tablet, though its unknown how much stock each store will be carrying. One thing is clear, though: if you didn’t pre-order and you didn’t wait in line, you’re going to have a wait ahead of you. Online pre-order delays are already stretching 2-3 weeks. Some analysts are predicting that this a record-breaking launch for Apple, based off of pre-order numbers alone and despite the fact that supplies are limited due to a shortage of the Retina Display panels. If you’re somehow still undecided on the new iPad, you’re late to the party, but be sure to check out our preview. via SlashGear Share This With The World!
