The Biggest Rumors and Leaks From CES 2012 Dylan Duarte January 8, 2012 The 2012 Consumer Electronics Show is right around the corner and MEGATechNews will be covering the event, both at home and on location, to bring you the most important news and the biggest bombshells. If you’re like me, you’re shaking with anticipation. Patience may be a virtue, but not one I excel at. So why wait? Let’s start talking about the rumors and leaks surrounding CES 2012. HTC Radiant Earlier this week, a supposedly leaked image of the HTC Radiant made its way online. The Radiant is one of the first 4G smartphones to run Windows Phone 7 and is expected to be available through AT&T before the middle of the year. Xbox 720 I’ve been a videogame fan my entire life, so this one grabbed my attention right away. I grew up a Nintendo fan, and then the reign of the PlayStation 2 made me a Sony fan, and for the last five or so years, my Xbox 360 has dominated my time more than the PS3 and Wii combined. And with Microsoft’s increased focus on the Xbox being a multimedia machine, there are even rumors of DVR support. I know better than to get excited over Internet rumors, but I can’t help myself here, especially with designer Joseph Dumary’s spectacular speculatory mock up. Nokia Lumia 900 The Nokia Lumia 900, which AT&T has codenamed Eloko, may show up at CES. The phone will supposedly feature a 4.3 inch WVGA display, 512MB RAM, 8 MP camera, a 1.4GHz Qualcomm CPU, an 1830mAH battery, a screen that uses Nokia’s ClearBlack technology, and will ship with the Mango build of WP7. Along with the 900, Nokia may use CES to reveal the Lumia 719, a mid-range Windows Phone. Asus 7-inch Eee Pad Asus has always been a friend to us tech geeks on a budget and it looks like they will continue that trend in the tablet world. According to rumors kicked off by a leaked photo, Asus may reveal a 7-inch slate device with a 1280 x 800 resolution, a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 64GB of internal storage, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity. Additional rumors exist that say it may even come in a 3D version. HP Spectre The MacBook Air is the laptop to beat and HP is looking to do just that with its new line of Ultrabooks. The newest contender? The HP Spectre, which the video announced in a teaser video sent out not too long ago. No details were given, but the timing of the video could very well suggest a CES debut.
