T-Mobile May Do Away With Contracts in March Dylan Duarte March 3, 2013 Back in December, T-Mobile announced themselves as the “un-carrier” in an attempt to move away from AT&T and Verizon. They would begin selling Apple products and, more importantly, move away from the traditional phone contracts. Originally their timeline for the shift was six to nine months, but that’s been moved up to an unspecified date, and it looks like they may doing away with contracts as early as this month. Reportedly the company could announce their plans as early as Monday and have them take effect just a few weeks later. This would mean doing away with contracts, early termination fees, and expanding their monthly options. There’s also talk of offering a down payment option with all of their phones, where the more expensive phones could be paid off in time. “You love your iPhone, but you hate AT&T” is how T-Mobile described the rationale behind their new plan. More options are never a bad thing. via T-Mobile Share This With The World!
