Swann’s MovieStick is a Tool For YouTube Mischief Stephen Fung November 7, 2008 Press Release If you thought that Flip Video Mino was small and stealthy, wait till you get a load of what Swann has in store for you. They’ve taken their surveillance video camera technology and shrunk it into the size of something no bigger than a pack of your favourite double mint gum. I’m sure some of you are already getting some ideas in those perverted heads of yours. As one of the world’s smallest digital video recorders, the Swann MovieStick gives you up to 2.5 hrs of recording on a single 2GB Micro SD Card (sold seperately). Power is provided by a built in lithium Ion battery that charges via the devices USB port. This is also how the video is transferred from camera to your computer. The only downside I can see is that it has no screen so that you can’t playback your videos and show your friends (or assist in deleting the more embarrassing ones). However, without an LCD screen to power, this devices should get hours of battery life on a single charge and because the memory is removable, you can afford to make a whole bunch of mistakes and continue filming. It’ll be interesting to see just how useful this thing is in the real world. I’m sure the peeps at Futurelooks will be getting their hands on one soon. For more information on this device, head on over to Swann’s Website. Just keep your eyes peeled for packs of gum in all the wrong places. Share This With The World!
